Dan Brown Bestseller Discussed on December 18th
The Stratford Library “Books Over Coffee” program concludes its 2013 fall series with a discussion of Dan Brown’s latest bestseller, Inferno on Wednesday, December 18th at noon. The monthly program is meeting one week earlier than usual due to the Christmas holiday. “Books Over Coffee” is hosted by Stratford educator and author Kathleen Faggella.
Inferno begins when Harvard University professor Robert Langdon wakes up in a hospital with a head wound and no memory of the last few days. His last memory is walking on the Harvard campus, but he quickly realizes that he is now in Florence. Sienna Brooks, one of the doctors tending to him, tells him he suffered a concussion from being grazed by a bullet and had stumbled into the emergency ward. Suddenly, Vayentha, a female assassin who has been following Robert, breaks into the hospital, shoots the doctor in charge of Robert's care and approaches Robert's room. Sienna grabs Robert and they flee to her apartment as a new adventure for Langdon begins.
Dan Brown’s fast-paced thriller is the fourth book in a series which includes the bestsellers Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code and The Lost Symbol.
“Books Over Coffee” will be held in the Stratford Library’s Lovell Room beginning at noon on December 18th. Participants are invited to bring a bag lunch to the program and coffee and tea is also served. Limited reading copies of Inferno are currently available for loan at the library’s Circulation Desk.
